Volleyball coach accused of rape dies after ‘intentionally’ stepping in front of oncoming train | The Post Millennial

volleyball coach in New York, who was recently arrested for allegedly raping one of his 15-year-old students, has died after “intentionally” stepping in front of a train. 

Jason Maser, 22, was found dead around 10:30 pm Friday night, less than 24 hours after being charged with rape, committing a criminal sexual act, and endangering the welfare of a minor.

According to the Daily Mail, law enforcement revealed that Maser had jumped in front of a Long Island Rail Road train at the Woodbury Road crossing near Syosset, a town about 30 miles east of New York City, on Long Island. Investigators added that a suicide note was found, though its contents were not made public.

The alleged victim was a student at Sacred Heart Academy, an all-girls high school in Hempstead where Maser taught. He also previously coached her at the B&B Volleyall Club. The alleged incidents were said to have taken place in his vehicle…
