University of Minnesota student arrested by ICE, visa revoked over past DUI: DHS | The Post Millennial


“This is not related to student protests. The individual in question was arrested after a visa revocation by the State Dept. related to a prior criminal history for a DUI,” the official said. 

A University of Minnesota international graduate student has been detained by Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE), with the Department of Homeland Security (DHS) saying the arrest came after a visa revocation due to a DUI.

The unnamed student was enrolled at the Carlson School of Management in the university’s Twin Cities campus in Minneapolis. The school said that the student was arrested at an off-campus residence. 

A senior DHS official told Fox News that the arrest was not in relation to anti-Israel protests across the country, which have seen other foreign students have their visas revoked, but instead due to criminal history….
