Two people shot, injured at a high school graduation ceremony at Show-Me Center in Missouri | The Post Millennial

Two people were shot during the Cape Central High School graduation ceremony that took place on Sunday at the Show-Me Center on the campus of Southeastern Missouri State University in Cape Girardeau, Missouri.

In a post on Facebook, SEMO said, “Police are on scene and the building is secured.” It added, “Investigation ongoing. Avoid the area.” 

According to WSILTV, both people were transported to the hospital and are being treated. 

Cape Girardeau Public Schools Superintendent Dr. Howard Benyon said in a post on Facebook, “During our graduation ceremony today at the Show-Me Center, an altercation occurred forcing us to stop the ceremony and evacuate the building.” 

“Fortunately, no students or staff members were injured and thanks to the assistance of staff members at the Show-Me Center, we were able to get everyone out of the building safely.” He continued, “We are thankful for the quick…
