In Detroit, around 2,300 Democratic poll workers were reportedly hired for the state’s 2024 primary election, compared to just 300 Republican ones, the lawsuit stated.
The Republican National Committee has launched a lawsuit against the Election Commission of the City of Detroit over allegations that they hired more than seven times the number of Democratic poll workers than Republican ones for the 2024 election in violation of state law.
According to Fox News, Michigan’s state election law Section 168.74 states that the board of election commissioners “shall appoint an equal number, as nearly as possible, of election inspectors in each election precinct from each major political party.”
