Alexis Ohanian, the cofounder of Reddit, is joining a bid to purchase TikTok from its Chinese owner.
“I’m officially now one of the people trying to buy TikTok US — and bring it on-chain. TikTok has been a game changer for creators, and it’s future should be built by them,” Ohanian wrote on X on Tuesday.
On Monday, businessman and former Los Angeles Dodgers owner Frank McCourt said Ohanian would join his consortium of buyers, “The People’s Bid.”
