Girl dads unite!
The owner of the NXXT Golf Tour, Stuart McKinnon, has revealed a personal reason for why he supports a ban of transgender athletes from women’s professional golf.
Back in March, the tour updated their policy to put an outright ban on biological males identifying as women from competing, doing so while transgender golfer Hailey Davidson was ripping through competition en route to getting an LPGA pro card.
“Our revised policy is a reflection of our unwavering commitment to celebrating and protecting the achievements and opportunities of female athletes. Protected categories are a fundamental aspect of sports at all levels, and it is essential for our Tour to uphold these categories for biological females, ensuring a level playing field,” said McKinnon in a statement at that particular time.
