Georgia shooting suspect charged with 4 felony counts of murder

The suspect in a Wednesday school shooting in Georgia has been charged with four felony counts of murder, one for each death in the mass shooting.

Fourteen-year-old Colt Gray killed two students and two teachers, injuring several more, when he opened fire at Apalachee High School in Winder, Ga.

“Gray has been charged with 4 counts of felony murder in connection to the shooting at Apalachee HS yesterday,” the Georgia Bureau of Investigation (GBI) said in a post on the social platform X.

Gray was taken to the Gainesville Regional Youth Detention Center, where he is awaiting additional charges. His first appearance before a judge will be Friday at 8:30 a.m.

GBI said autopsies of the four victims will be performed Thursday by the medical examiner’s office. The investigation into the shooting is ongoing.

“This is day 2 of a very complex investigation & the integrity of the case is paramount,” GBI’s post said….
