Minnesota Governor Tim Walz said on the debate stage that he has “become friends with school shooters” when the topic of gun violence came up. The weird moment in the debate took many by surprise.
When Walz was asked about why he now supports an “assault weapons” ban when he was previously opposed to one, he responded, “I sat in that office with the Sandy Hook parents, I’ve become friends with school shooters.”
