Apple has revealed plans to invest $500 billion in the US, including hiring 20,000 new workers in research and development roles in the next four years under President Donald Trump. The company aims to “build on Apple’s long history of investing in American innovation and advanced high-skilled manufacturing.”
Apple’s CEO Tim Cook said that the $500 billion investment will support “a wide range of initiatives that focus on artificial intelligence, silicon engineering, and skills development for students and workers across the country,” per the Daily Mail.
“We are bullish on the future of American innovation, and we’re proud to build on our long-standing US investments with this $500 billion commitment to our country’s future,” Cook added. “We’ll keep working with people and companies across this country to help write an extraordinary new chapter in the history of American innovation.”
